Board of Trustees

KRISTA POUND - CHAIR
Krista spent her career as an accountant working for an international accountancy firm.  She is a mother of twin boys and was previously the treasurer on the Board of Trustees.  She became Chair in November 2016. 

TIM DULLEY - VICE CHAIR 
Tim has been a trustee since 2012.  He is an experienced Management Consultant.  He is actively involved in our strategic planning, risk management and financial processes.  He is a father of twin girls.

DUNCAN MOFFET - TREASURER 
Duncan Moffett joined as Treasurer in November 2016 and is an experienced chartered accountant. He is the father of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) surviving twin boys.

HEATHER DEMBITZ
Heather works as a Chief Operating Officer in a global Investment Bank and has a background in Finance and Banking. Heather is a mother of twins and joined the Board of Trustees in January 2017.

SARAH PERRIS
Sarah spent her corporate career in the automotive industry before setting up her own strategic communications and training business in 2006.  She is a mother of adult twin girls and has been a Twinline listener for more than 15 years.  She became a Trustee in October 2017.

CHARLOTTE AHERNE
Charlotte joined us in November 2018 and is a legal director at a global investment bank. Charlotte is a mother of young twins.

SIMON BERNEY-EDWARDS
Simon is the Executive Manager of the Expert Witness Institute and has more than seven years’ experience in leadership roles in Membership bodies. He joined the Board in 2018 as the trustee lead for Digital Transformation. He is father to twins achieved through Surrogacy.

SURABHI NANDA 
Surabhi is a Consultant in Maternal Fetal Medicine affiliated to two busy tertiary fetal medicine units in London, and has a special interest in multiple pregnancy. She leads a specialist multidisciplinary multiple pregnancy service in her unit. She is a Fetal Medicine representative of the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2019. 


TAMBA PRESIDENT & HONORARY CONSULTANT FOR HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE
JUDI LINNEY MBE  MSc Dip HEd HV 

Judi came from South Africa to England and then trained as a nurse, midwife and health visitor and Director of Public Health. 

She has more than 30 years of extensive experience in providing strategic leadership across NHS, Local Authorities, and Voluntary & Community Groups and working with the media. After giving birth to twin daughters, Judi and her husband Howard recognised the need for information and advice for families of multiples.

In 1978, she was a founder member of the Twins Club Association – which developed into Tamba and became Twins Trust in 2019. 

Judi has written various articles and a book for professionals on managing Multiple Births, and has given presentations nationally and internationally on multiple births.

Judi received an MBE at the Queen’s Birthday Honours ceremony, for services to healthcare, for her work in the NHS as a Director of public health, for Founding and being the President of Tamba and for developing community relations. Judi is currently an Independent Consultant and Coach and offers advice to community groups.

Twins Trust Staff
We have a committed staff team, many of whom have direct experience of raising multiples. Most of us work flexibly and part time hours. Here are the senior managers.


Keith Reed – CEO (Office attendance - Full time)
Keith has worked for Twins Trust since 2007.  He is a long standing advocate of patients' rights and previously worked in senior campaigning positions within the charitable sector.  He was an honorary researcher at Birmingham University and reviewer for the Cochrane Pregnancy and Childbirth group.  He has contributed to publications on Multiple Pregnancy, Neonatal Care, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome and research into the educational and financial issues associated with multiple births.  He has two children (not twins) and he is a former trustee for advice and disability charities and a primary school governor. 

FUNDRAISING
Shelley Smith - Head of Fundraising (Monday - Thursday)
Shelley is responsible for increasing income from all fundraising streams including corporate, advertising, trusts and statutory fundraising, challenge events and individual appeals and donations.  Shelley was previously the Corporate Fundraiser, then Head of Fundraising for a local charity supporting disabled children.

COMMUNICATIONS
Nikki Roberts – Head of Communications (Monday - Thursday)
Nikki is a former communications manager for a large pharmaceutical company.  She is responsible for all external and internal communications including our website, members’ magazine, e-newsletters, media engagement, website and social media.

MEMBERSHIP
Emma Collins – Head of Membership (Monday - Thursday)
Emma has spent more than ten years volunteering and working for various childbirth charities. She is responsible for managing all of the membership processes, including joining, renewing and gift aid.

FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
Nicky Deans – Head of Finance and Operations (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
Nicky has worked for Twins Trust for more than 10 years, having previously worked at PwC. As well as overseeing the financial management of the charity, she is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our day to day operations, including office administration, HR, IT and governance.

SCOTLAND
Helen Peck - Scottish coordinator (working days Monday-Thursday 9am – 4.30pm)
Helen has worked for Twin Trust for more than 12 years and oversees all of our work in Scotland. Helen engages with national agencies and research centres to ensure good practice is incorporated into clinical practice and manages a dedicated team of volunteers who deliver practical preparing for parenthood sessions and Antenatal sessions throughout Scotland.   Helen is an experienced parenting facilitator and mother of teenage twin girls.

NORTHERN IRELAND
Kelly McDonald - Northern Ireland coordinator (working days Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) 
Kelly works to oversee our activities in Northern Ireland. She manages our Health Visitor project in Southern HSCT and works with maternity units across NI to provide Twins Trust resources to expectant parents.  Kelly organises and delivers our courses and also contributes to twins information evenings at antenatal classes in Antrim, Royal Jubilee, Ulster, Daisy Hill, Craigavon and Altnagelvin.
Kelly has worked in the voluntary sector in NI for more than 10 years and is a mum of primary school-age twins.
